The return from Val d'Isère follows one of the highest major resort roads in the French Alps, descending through increasingly lower terrain past Tignes and into the Tarentaise. After Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the N90 heads west through Moûtiers and Albertville before the route continues alongside Lake Annecy and north towards Geneva. Depending on traffic, the driver may choose between the two sides of the lake.

On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers carries heavy outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise. Snow conditions on the upper descent from Val d'Isère can also add time before reaching the main valley road.

Your driver meets you at your accommodation — hotel entrance or chalet door. Just confirm the address at booking. Val d'Isère splits naturally into two parts: La Daille at the entrance to the valley, and the main resort further up. If you're in La Daille, mention it at booking — it's a different drop-off point and easy to sort in advance. No vehicle restrictions, no permit zones anywhere in the resort. Some chalets in Val d'Isère sit on access tracks that require experience to reach in winter conditions. If yours is one of them, your host will usually know — pass on any instructions or coordinates they give you and we'll handle the approach.

We calculate your pickup time. Geneva Airport operates on a night curfew — the terminal closes late evening and doesn't reopen until early morning. We factor all of this in when we schedule your transfer to Geneva Airport: terminal operating hours, check-in deadlines, and expected traffic on your route. In peak ski season, we often recommend departing 2–3 hours earlier than you might expect. Mountain traffic on busy Saturdays can add significant time to the journey. You may end up waiting longer at the airport — but that's a much better outcome than missing your flight. You can set your own preferred departure time, but we'll always flag if we think it carries a risk.
