Leaving Peisey-Vallandry, the road descends through forested mountain villages towards Landry before joining the N90 in the Tarentaise Valley. From Albertville, the A43 motorway continues towards Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport.

On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers carries heavy outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise resorts. The motorway sections between Chambéry and Lyon can also carry significant traffic during peak winter weekends.

Peisey-Vallandry is made up of several villages at different altitudes — confirm exactly which one you're staying in when you book. The two main ski villages are Plan-Peisey and Vallandry, both at around 1600 m and less than a kilometre apart. Below them sit the older villages of Peisey and Nancroix, and further down the valley, Landry. Each has its own access road, so be specific when you book.
