The return from Méribel descends through the Allues Valley past chalet villages and mountain streams before rejoining the N90 at Moûtiers. From Albertville, the route continues through Ugine and alongside Lake Annecy before joining the motorway north towards Geneva. Depending on traffic levels, the driver may choose the quieter side of the lake near Annecy. The border crossing into Switzerland is usually straightforward outside peak periods.

Saturday departures from the Three Valleys generate heavy outbound traffic on the roads down to Moûtiers. The Méribel descent and the Lake Annecy approach can also slow during busy winter weekends.

We calculate your pickup time. Geneva Airport operates on a night curfew — the terminal closes late evening and doesn't reopen until early morning. In peak ski season, we often recommend departing 2–3 hours earlier than you might expect. Mountain traffic on busy Saturdays can add significant time to the journey. You may end up waiting longer at the airport — but that's a much better outcome than missing your flight.
