After pickup at Chambéry Airport, the transfer quickly joins the motorway towards Albertville before continuing along the N90 into the Tarentaise Valley. Chambéry Airport is one of the smaller Alpine airports, mainly operating winter ski flights, so arrivals are usually relatively quick compared with larger international hubs. During periods of low visibility or heavy fog, some flights may occasionally be redirected to Lyon, particularly in mid-winter mornings. From Albertville onwards, the route follows the Isère Valley towards resorts. For Les Arcs, the route continues to Bourg-Saint-Maurice before climbing towards the different Arc villages. The ascent becomes progressively steeper and more mountainous, especially above Arc 1600, with broad views across the Tarentaise Valley and surrounding ski areas.

Les Arcs spreads across four distinct stations above Bourg-Saint-Maurice — Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, each at its respective altitude.
