Leaving Morzine, the road passes through forested slopes, riverside sections, and traditional Alpine villages before reaching Taninges and joining the A40 motorway at Cluses. The route then follows the Arve Valley northwest back towards Geneva, with the border crossing usually straightforward outside peak periods.

Saturday outbound traffic is often heaviest near Cluses and on the Morzine access road. The A40 towards Geneva can also carry significant traffic during busy winter weekends.

Morzine is a real town — streets, a centre, proper addresses. Your driver will find you without difficulty. Confirm your address when you book. That said, some accommodation sits outside the centre: in the Montriond valley on the eastern side of the town, or on the hillsides above. If you're in one of these areas, mention it at booking — it changes the approach and it's worth knowing in advance.
