The route from Grenoble Alpes–Isère Airport follows the motorway network north-east towards Chambéry before continuing through Albertville into the Tarentaise Valley. Grenoble Airport remains relatively compact compared with Lyon or Geneva and is used mostly for winter ski arrivals from the UK and Northern Europe. At Moûtiers, the road leaves the N90 and begins the steady series of bends towards Courchevel’s different villages, from Le Praz and Village to the higher ski areas. The climb passes through forested sections and traditional Savoy hamlets before reaching the higher ski areas connected to the Three Valleys domain.

The road to 1850 in winter is demanding — tight switchbacks, heavy snowfall, and peak-week traffic. Our drivers do this route daily throughout the season, on winter tyres, and know exactly when to leave to avoid the Saturday changeover congestion. A note on chalets: navigation in Courchevel can mislead even experienced drivers — the same chalet name can appear in multiple villages, and Google Maps sometimes routes to a hotel or shop instead.
