The journey then joins the N90, the main alpine road serving the Tarentaise resorts. Beyond Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the road climbs steadily towards La Rosière near the Italian border. The final ascent is more open and panoramic than many Tarentaise routes, with views across the upper valley and surrounding peaks as the road approaches the resort.
