The return from Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise follows smaller alpine roads through quieter upper valley terrain towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From there, the N90 heads west through Moûtiers and Albertville before the route continues alongside Lake Annecy and north towards Geneva. Drop-off is at Gare de Cornavin on Place de Cornavin.
On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers sees sustained outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise. The upper road from Sainte-Foy is usually calmer, but the main valley carries heavy traffic during peak ski season.
Your driver drops you off directly in front of Gare de Cornavin on Place de Cornavin — the main entrance facing the square, steps from the ticket hall and all platforms. If you're catching a connecting train after your transfer from the Alps to Geneva, factor in a few minutes to reach your platform: Cornavin can get congested with ski luggage on Sunday evenings when everyone heads home from the mountains. Need to check a train time? The SBB app gives real-time departures and platform numbers — worth having on your phone if you're connecting onward to Lausanne, Bern, or Zurich.
