On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers carries heavy outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise resorts. The motorway sections near Chambéry can also carry significant traffic during peak winter weekends.

Les Arcs runs across four distinct levels — Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, and Arc 2000 — and which one you're heading to matters. Make sure it's clear in your booking. Arc 1950 is a fully pedestrianised village built over a shared underground car park. Different residences have their entrances on different levels of the car park, so the name of your residence matters — not just the altitude.
