It's purpose-built, but it feels lived-in. The village sits at 1400 m in the Tarentaise, reached by a 12 km climb from the Isère valley. Part of the Grand Domaine ski area with Saint-François-Longchamp — 165 km of slopes crossing the Col de la Madeleine, from forests at the bottom to open alpine terrain at the top.
