The transfer from Valmorel to Lyon train station is a comfortable door-to-door journey from the resort to the train station. We recommend departing Valmorel at least 2 h 55 min before your train departure to ensure a relaxed and timely arrival. Leaving Valmorel, the road descends through forested slopes and smaller alpine villages towards La Léchère before joining the main Tarentaise Valley near Moûtiers. From Albertville, the A43 motorway heads north-west towards Lyon. Drop-off is at Rue du Vivier Merle for Part-Dieu or Cours de Verdun for Perrache.

Saturday departures can bring heavier traffic near Moûtiers and on the motorway sections between Chambéry and Lyon. The road from Valmorel itself is generally quieter.

Valmorel's centre is pedestrianised — your driver can reach the accommodation directly, but drop-off for properties within the pedestrian zone is at the edge. Some chalets sit in the surrounding hamlets of Doucy, Nâves or Celliers — if yours is in one of these, mention it at booking as it's a different approach entirely.
