The return from Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise begins with a descent through smaller villages and narrow alpine roads towards the main Tarentaise Valley. After joining the N90 at Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the route heads west through Moûtiers and Albertville before reaching the motorway towards Chambéry Airport. The quieter upper section gives way to progressively heavier traffic as the route joins the main valley road.
On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers sees sustained outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise. The upper road from Sainte-Foy is usually calmer, but snowfall can slow the descent before reaching the main valley.
We calculate your pickup time based on your flight and current road conditions — share your flight number at booking and we'll handle the timing. CMF is a seasonal airport, operating primarily from December through April with winter charter flights, mainly from the UK. Check-in queues can be surprisingly long on busy Saturdays when flights overlap — we factor this in when scheduling your pickup. Your driver drops you at the single terminal entrance, steps from the check-in desks.
