Peisey-Vallandry is made up of several villages at different altitudes — confirm exactly which one you're staying in when you book. The two main ski villages are Plan-Peisey and Vallandry, both at around 1600 m and less than a kilometre apart. Below them sit the older villages of Peisey and Nancroix, and further down the valley, Landry. Each has its own access road, so be specific when you book.
Peisey-Vallandry to Chambéry Airport (CMF): route overview
Leaving Peisey-Vallandry, the road descends through forested mountain villages towards Landry before rejoining the N90 in the Tarentaise Valley. The transfer then follows the main alpine road west through Moûtiers and Albertville before connecting to the motorway towards Chambéry Airport.
On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers carries heavy outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise resorts. Additional congestion is possible near Landry earlier in the descent.
