On Saturday mornings, the N90 between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Moûtiers carries heavy outbound traffic from the upper Tarentaise resorts. Delays near Aime on the descent can add time before reaching the main valley road.

La Plagne has many parts so please confirm exactly which one you're heading to when you book. The name alone isn't enough. The main high-altitude sites are Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne 1800, Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, and Plagne Aime 2000 at the top. One thing worth knowing: Grenoble Airport is not next to Grenoble city. GNB sits about 45 km northwest of the city centre — further from the resorts than a quick glance at the map might suggest.
