The transfer from Geneva train station (Cornavin) to La Clusaz is a comfortable and straightforward journey into the Alps. Your driver will take the most efficient route to the resort, ensuring a smooth and stress-free trip.
From Geneva Cornavin, the transfer heads south through the city before joining the motorway towards Annecy. Depending on traffic, the route continues around the western or eastern side of Lake Annecy before heading into the Aravis mountain range. The scenery shifts progressively from lakeside roads to narrower alpine valleys.
The final section towards La Clusaz passes traditional Savoy villages and mountain pastures typical of the Aravis area. Compared with some higher-altitude resorts, the approach feels more village-oriented.
Under normal conditions, the journey takes around 1 h 20 min, depending on traffic and weather. During winter weekends and peak ski season, travel times may increase. Winter traffic is usually busiest around Annecy and on the roads leading into the Aravis resorts during Saturdays and French school holidays.
Cornavin is a busy city-centre station with no long-term stopping zones at the main entrance — so pickup works slightly differently here than at the airport. Your driver will contact you directly via WhatsApp or phone as your train approaches, and you'll agree on a meeting point together — typically the main station exit on Place de Cornavin, or another spot that works given current traffic. We track your train in real time, so we know if you're running late before you do. Free waiting time is 20 minutes from the scheduled arrival of your train. If your train is delayed, no problem — we adjust automatically. For longer disruptions, just message us and we'll find the best way forward. One tip: when you step off the train, take your time — Cornavin can get chaotic with ski luggage in peak season. Your driver won't rush you.
