The transfer then follows the A41 motorway towards Annecy, before continuing alongside Lake Annecy where traffic conditions often determine which side of the lake offers the smoother drive. Beyond Faverges and Ugine, the road reaches Albertville at the meeting point of several alpine valleys, then continues on the N90 towards the heart of the French Alps. From Moûtiers the road turns into the Belleville Valley, climbing steadily through Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and a series of alpine villages before reaching Les Menuires. The higher altitude landscape becomes progressively more open and mineral as the route approaches the resort.
Under normal conditions, the journey takes around 2 h 30 min, depending on traffic and weather. During winter weekends and peak ski season, travel times may increase. Saturday traffic can build up around Albertville, Moûtiers, and the entrance to the Belleville Valley. The final climb towards Les Menuires often remains busy throughout the afternoon during peak winter weeks.
